Sachin & Babi Ahluwalia’s bespoke bridal outfits make brides versatile and confident. The husband and wife duo recently presented their Fall 2018 bridal collection at their flagship Madison Avenue boutique.
Known for their designs catering to the modern bride, the Ahluwalias this season decided to also think of the many festivities that surround a wedding and how each bride will need more than one dress to wear.
“It isn’t just about one dress. We have brides who come in seeking two or three different outfits for different occasions, so we wanted to focus on the lifestyle,” said Babi.
As wedding related events become more and more riveting—destination weddings and weekend-long ceremonies, couples need more than one apparel choice to keep them going. Bridal couples will be happy to find that Sachin & Babi’s collection gives them the power of adaptability.
Giving a reinterpretation of their prêt-à-porter styles as bridal fare, the Ahluwalias featured several “modern” pieces including a pair of sequined trousers and a jacquard bomber jacket, which would give any bride a stylish reception look. The brand’s signature hand-embellishments such as the silk faille column, with embroidered flowers can also be noticed. There are even princess-gowns for the more traditional brides.
