“When I saw you I fell in love, and you smiled because you knew “
William Shakespeare
This was the love story for Mickey Allapach and Janie Tienphosuwan. Their love-at-first-sight story began in 2017. They fell head over heels for each other so quickly that Mickey made his romantic proposal 6 months later, on a beach in Malibu, California.
Whisked away to Oct 2018 at the most gorgeous Samui Island, both bride and groom exchanged their wedding vows with close family and friends at the most romantic waterfront wedding venue in Samui Island.
The reception was an intimate gathering of 76 guests, all whom are close family and friends of the bride and groom.
“It was just us and our loved ones, so it was important for us to focus on the warmth of our feelings and the natural environment,” says the bride.
Captured by Alen Karupovic on photo and Fragments Collection on video and planned by The Wedding Bliss Thailand, this waterfront wedding was perfect for the couple.
Where the blessed celebration was held
Set on a private island in Samui, Cape Fahn Hotel features 22 private villas and a 26-foot sundeck with stunning tropical views as you’re surrounded by lush nature.
The hotel has a dedicated Wedding Platform perched on the cliff overlooking the bay, is the epitome for elegance and style.
The harmonious ceremony
Set on a cliff overlooking the ocean, the bride walked down the curved aisle, decorated in a variety of fresh greenery and white roses, led to the altar set on rocks.
Looking like angels, flower girls and ring bearers were in white.
The flower girls adorned with crowns of roses as they made their entrance.
A momentous sister-brother photo when Janie’s brother walked her down the aisle. Definitely one to keep for the both of them.
A nervous Mickey, standing at the altar, looking dapper in his gray Vvon Sugunnasil checked suit.
Janie donned a beautiful white ceremony dress by Nagara. Her dress paired a scalloped lace overlay with a plunging back and a dramatic matching veil. “The designer is really familiar with my style and taste,” says the bride.
Set against a picturesque backdrop of the waterfront, Janie and Mickey exchanged their emotional personalised vows at the altar surrounded by lush greenery and white and peach roses.
In a celebratory and uplifting moment for the couple after the ceremony
Elegant & minimalist, Janie’s bridesmaids wore copper-toned dresses by Unkuniya and Janesuda, with cowl necklines and flowing skirts.
An Absolutely Amazing Outdoor Dinner Reception
All of the guests found their seat assignments on beautifully calligraphed escort cards tied to ornate metal keys.
Guests also received thoughtfully designed ‘Thank You’ gifts with a picture of the newly-wed.
The dinner was breathtaking with a canopy of fairy lights and greens to accent the ambience even more.
The long tables were perfectly curated with white runners, pillar candles complete with white and pink roses, delicately arranged to match the pink napkins set for each guests.
We are obsessed with Janie’s sexy white dinner dress by Milin, that paired a plunging neckline with a corset-style waist complete with her celestial-inspired star headpiece for that elegant look.
Mickey & Janie sticking to traditions of cake-cutting during wedding reception. The chocolate wedding cake was beautifully topped with white and pink roses, edged in pink macaroons.
The grand finale of sending off the newly couple with sparklers (lots of them) as they leave to conquer their lifetime of happiness.
We are incredibly happy for the newly weds and immensely inspired with their whirlwind romance and wedding reception. Their secret to pulling it off quickly and done beautifully : “Teamwork makes the dream work!”
