In some rather exciting news, Clarence House, the official residence of the Prince of Wales and Duchess of Cornwall, announced that Prince Harry and American actress and former Suits star, Meghan Markle are engaged!
Apparently, they had already had the engagement earlier this month and the couple just decided to tell the whole world about it, after much anticipation.

The wedding is said to take place in the Spring of 2018.
Prince Harry, 33, and Meghan, 36, have been dating for at least 15 months prior to the announcement. The couple had met in London through a mutual friend in 2016 and made their first appearance together at the Invictus Games last September. Since then, social media has been fired up with speculations of their relationship and of the date of their engagement.
In early September, Meghan spoke openly for the first time about her relationship with Prince Harry. She said, “we’re a couple,” and referred to the Prince as her “boyfriend.”
“We’re in love. I’m sure there will be a time when we will have to come forward and present ourselves and have stories to tell, but I hope what people will understand is that this is our time. This is for us,” said Meghan.
We’re still not sure whether Prince Harry will opt for a grand wedding celebration just like Prince William and Kate Middleton’s wedding at Westminster Abbey, or if he will opt for a quieter wedding perhaps at St. George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle, where Harry’s father married Camilla Parker Bowles.
The wedding will be Meghan’s second, previously having been married to movie producer, Trevor Engelson. They filed for divorce after two years of marriage due to “irreconcilable differences.”
The Queen and Duke of Edinburgh must have given their blessing before the actual engagement, and in a statement, they said they were “delighted” that Meghan Markle will be joining the royal family.
This news comes right after the Queen and Prince Philip celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary. Congratulations to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle to the royal family! We’ve got another royal wedding to look forward to.
