This year, Reem Acra brought her bridal fashion runway to the New York Public Library where its high ceilings and tall pillars gave the whole show a sense of power and strength.
Acra showed off 24 dresses that represented her styling ideas; Acra’s signature embroideries could clearly be seen in her designs. In the designer’s own words, this collection was themed around purity in that each dress was pure, elegant and dignified.
One key feature that caught our attention with this collection was the use of baby-breaths, which added a natural and innocent vibe to the whole show. Used as flower-crowns, bouquets, and as elegant drapery in creative ways, Acra managed to amplify the “pure” vibe with each dress; the whole collection has a simple, uncomplicated feeling that each bride can enjoy.
