Australian bridal house, Paolo Sebastian, recently held a stunning fashion show at the Australian Fashion Festival. True to his couturier superpowers, Paul Vasileff, the Paolo Sebastian mastermind, sent 30 enchanting Disney inspired dresses down the runway and we think they are works of art that deserve recognition.
Named ‘Once Upon A Dream’, the show that Vasileff presented takes us all on a journey through the enchanted forests, each dress able to tell a magical fairytale of its own.
From the very start we are carried into this story teller’s fairytale-world full of romance and a feeling of endless possibilities. Carefully decorated, the setting of the runway exuded the beauty of spring and enveloped the audience with floral beauty and enchanted grass underfoot.
Dreamy chiffon and tulle moved along the runway delicately in soft pastel hues. Steering away from his use of lacework and figure hugging gowns, Vasileff chose to move towards the the tapered waist and full skirt, layers and layers of soft chiffon and wavy capes.
