A Rose Gold & Black Fiesta: Destination Wedding In Granada, Spain.

Anastasia and Lewis are from Hong Kong, but they decided to have a destination wedding in the romantic and sensual city, Granada, Spain. Here’s Anastasia talking to us about her lovely experience, as well as her inspiration to have her wedding here.

“We fell in love with Granada, Spain, when we first arrived here for our Europe trip some years ago. At that time, we were joking around about getting married in the gem of Andalusia, which is Granada. What was a dream before became a reality two years after. Initially, we planned for a simple, two-person-only destination wedding, but it grew to a party of more than 30! All the guests are our most beloved family and friends. We’re just feeling so blissful and joyful the whole time.”

“To incorporate the stunning aesthetics of the Alhambra Palace and the gorgeous night life in Spain, our theme consists of the colour Rose Gold and Black. A small palette of Warm Grey, Mint and Blush balances the mood of our wedding theme. For an example, we applied a glittery lining to our wedding invitation, to invoke the mood of the starry patterns on the Alhambra Palace’s ceiling. For the table setting, we sprayed Black, Mint, and Blush colour on some used bottles. Then we pair this with some rose gold candles; this forms our centerpiece for the wedding reception.”

“We tried to keep everything as simple and easy as we could for our destination wedding, but maintain it with our personal touch and stories inside the details. When we first met, the topic that we talk about a lot were movies. Therefore, we created our wedding reception table numbers using scenes of romantic movies that touched both of us. Besides doing DIY on the wedding reception, the boutonnière and bridal bouquet are also DIY-ed.”

“When I first went to the bridal boutique to pick out my dream wedding gown, I tried on eight different ones but none of them suits me. But one thing is the same; the salesperson told me all the dresses I picked are from Annasul Y. I just love all the details and lace from the brand! Finally, I picked a simple but gorgeous gown fom Annasul Y. I tweaked it a bit by making the upper part of the gown into a bolero jacket and the neckline was made into a sweetheart style.”

“My hubby wore a two-piece tuxedo from Lanvin, paired together with a Saint Laurent bow tie. For the evening wedding reception, he changed his boutonnière for a casual one, while I put on my dancing dress in rose gold, paired with a Cor Sine Labe Doli ceramic bowtie to have a more casual and playful mood.”
